Originally established in 2001, Joie is a newcomer to the world of fashion. Typically known for their clothing line, particularly their feminine tops and floaty dresses, the company is all about "Casual, Comfortable, and Luxurious". Creative designer and CEO, Serge Azria, says that the Joie collection is inspired by the Southern Californian lifestyle. But just recently, the company has expanded its horizons a bit. They have now added shoes and handbags to the mix. 8b0454bb3eca75a9f4676f3811a613ff
These new pieces are indeed "Casual, Comfortable, and Luxurious". Take, for example, the Joie Ibiza Bag featured here. This bag is made of a soft, distressed leather. Its slouchy hobo shape and neutral color make it the perfect addition to their new Fall 2009 collection, which drew most of its inspiration from the bohemian-chic look. I like the soft pleating and the simple, unstructured shape. It just looks like it would mold right into your body. I also like the unique tie closure that draws the outside corners of the bag around to the front. And everything is tied up with a cute little bow! I must say, I could definitely get used to associating the word "handbag" with the name "Joie". How does everyone else feel?
The Joie Ibiza Bag is currently available in Charcoal Grey. It measures 14.5" x 14" x 6.5" and it retails for $545.

Ed Hardy Passport II Bon Tote

Halloween is creeping upon us, and what better way to get in the spirit than with a stylish handbag that represents the holiday? When I think of Halloween I instantly think of: bats, vampires, zombies, ghosts, and skulls. Skulls have always been fashionable and several brands have been notorious for styling up a skull on a product every now and then.
Ed Hardy has always been known to have some sort of stylish skull on a majority of his products, and he just featured another one on one of his bags. Ed Hardy Passport II Bon Tote features a colorful but yet tasteful skull right in the center of the bag. There is nothing much to the bag other than it being black with a huge skull on it.
The tote may be simple, but somehow it’s actually kind of fabulous. I’m not sure if I would personally carry this tote around other than in October, but for a fun "Halloween" style bag it’s kind of fun. If you love skulls though, you may just want to carry this bag around all year long. It’s spacious, closes easily with the magnetic snap closure, and has a platform bottom.
It’s definitely a great bag to use when you have a lot of things to carry around. I carry a lot around when I’m going to class, and to be able to put all my books, school supplies, and lap top in a bag works wonders. I guess I really could use this tote more than just in October. It’s definitely an interesting bag, that will catch people’s eyes no matter where you go.

The Ed Hardy Passport II Bon Tote can be purchased at Zappos for $79, which I believe is an amazing deal for this bag. Ed Hardy bags usually run a couple hundred dollars, so to see one below $100 is a steal! If you love Ed Hardy or skulls in general, I’d grab this bag quick before they are all gone. Ed Hardy is extremely popular, and I’m sure this bag won’t be available long with a low price like that.
